Our Story
Tallow Roots began with our two children, who struggled from an early age with persistent eczema and diaper rashes. We fought a constant battle, trying product after product in hopes of soothing their skin—but nothing truly worked. Each time, we felt uneasy applying creams and lotions filled with chemicals and ingredients we couldn’t even pronounce.
After a long and often frustrating search for a real solution, we discovered the time-honored, almost forgotten power of grass-fed, grass-finished tallow. The results were incredible—our children’s skin cleared up almost overnight. For the first time, we found something pure, simple, and deeply nourishing. The search was finally over.
Since then, tallow has become a daily essential not just for our family, but for friends, loved ones, and now people around the world—supporting dry, aging, and wrinkled skin, healing tattoos, soothing post-shave irritation, and providing everyday hydration.
Through this journey, Tallow Roots was born—a brand rooted in tradition, family, and a passion for clean, effective skincare. As a dedicated Health and Physical Education teacher, I wanted a product that reflected my rugged, active lifestyle. My wife, a talented hair stylist, envisioned something elegant, nurturing, and beautiful. Together, we created two distinct lines: one for the gents, with rugged, bold, and sturdy scents—and one for the gems, featuring soft, graceful, and feminine notes.
