The Tallow Roots story

Tallow Roots Co. is Rose's company. Rose is a hair stylist, and she makes every jar by hand.

Tallow Roots started at home. Rose's two kids had very dry skin from an early age. She went through product after product, and she felt uneasy putting creams and lotions on them when she could not pronounce half the ingredients. She wanted something simple.

How Rose found tallow

After a long search, Rose found grass-fed, grass-finished tallow, an old and almost forgotten skin care ingredient. It was simple, rich and moisturizing, and that is what she had been looking for.

Tallow became part of the family's daily routine, and today Rose makes every balm by hand.

Friends and loved ones began using the balms too, for hands, lips, face and body.

Two lines

Balm Butta is for the gents, with bold, sturdy scents. Tallow Glow is for the gems, with soft, graceful notes. Both come in 4 oz amber glass jars, and both have an unscented option.
